2010 FIFA World Cup Star Player Prediction!

Yes who would be the star player in this year's World Cup? I will name 5!

Samuel Eto'o. I feel he will have a good World Cup and yes a possible contender. :D

Robin Van Persie. Ah.. this is my 'shock' pick. Ok, he's not the true star quality but I strongly believe he could have a good World Cup!

Cristiano Ronaldo. Ok I do feel that perhaps he needs a 'better team' and a better coach (I am not impressed with what CQ has done for Portugal at all) but how could I write Ronaldo off? His form has been great all season in a very poor Real Madrid side and if not for Ronaldo, Real Madrid might not even finish 2nd in the Spanish league.

Lionel Messi: Probably the most talented and skillful player in the world currently. His biggest problem is clearly Maradona. If not for Maradona, this Argentina team would have stand a real good chance to win.

And lastly Wayne Rooney. I believe a good coach is important and in Fabio Capello, England have indeed a good coach, which means this England team could go far and Wayne Rooney, who had been superb all season for Man United, could indeed be the star!

---------------------
The forgotten or the left overs. LOL!

Kaka? No form. I reckon his first season for Real Madrid was a nightmare. Wrong move to join this team!

Torres? His injury hell for Liverpool is making me write him off.

Xavi? Sorry but I have a strange feeling that Spain would disappoint. :D

Lius Fabiano? I like him actually. Rank outsider.

Carlos Teves? He has indeed a great season for City but from what I have seen, Maradona doesn't seem to know what to do with Teves in his team! So how can I expect him to shine?

Didier Drogba? Is he playing or not? That's the problem, yes?

Rank outsider is Mphela from South Africe.

Well this is my selection. :D

Anyone care to talk some balls and name me 5 players who would most likely be the star player in this year's World Cup?

Richard: You have Klose? His form has been poor lately and I am not even sure if he will start for Germany. And I rate Joachim Low lowly as a coach. :P

Ah.. I left out Cesc and Villa. :P

Moolah, the Germans have an unique quality to surprise.

The World Cup play suits their style i.e. every team is worried about making a mistake. The German's technical ability may surprise us.

Richard: Quite true. Their team work is usually second to none.

But this year, they have Joachim Low as a coach.

It's just that he's simply terrible.

:P

Poor Tevez. Moolah even got his name wrong. :P

My picks:
Rooney
Iniesta (If he plays)
Robben (Again, if he plays)
Ronaldo
Messi

My prediction will be some shooting stars from Africa or someone unknown at all.

I have not seen the North Korea plays since the last they play Malaysia for the 1980 Olympic, if my memory still clear. Could they produce some surprise here?

wk: LOL! LOL! My bad spelling. :P

I like Iniesta and I rate him very highly! And if he was fit, I reckon Barcelona should have beaten Inter in the CL semis and I also think he is a massive key in Spain's fortunes in the World Cup. Without him, the Spanish armada would be missing a key player!

solomon: North Korea's biggest star is Jong Tae-Se. He's called the Asian Rooney.
