Regarding PMCorp

Got the following comments.
  • wong said...
please comment on PMCORP. will it become another cocoaland, OFI or GuanChg ??

wong: I am not a Sotong, so clearly I have no idea if this stock could become another stock like those three stocks you had mentioned.

Seriously? I have absolutely no forecasting skills at all, so it's rather pointless if you ask me if a stock could go up or down, unless of course, you think I have the skills to match Sotong and if that's the case, I would blindfold myself and try to pick a lucky pick for you. I do hope you are not offended by this straight answer from you.

Anyway, just for you...

Here's how PMCorp have been faring the past 6 months.

And here's how PMCorp have been faring the past 5 years.

Ok.. I do understand and I do realise that ANY given stock CAN go UP at any given day. Having said that, I also understand that the opposite will also hold true, ie ANY given stock CAN also go down at any given day.

Meaning?

I won't 'buta-buta' say this stock have absolutely no chance to go up, ok? I hope you understand this important point. :D

Now.... those two charts... what does it suggest to you.. as it is? Meaning to say.. let's say the stock does NOT trade anymore... as it is... based on the two charts... what would you say about the performance of the stock?

(ps: yes I am also aware that past stock performance does not guarantee future stock performance)

Me flawed interpretation of the two charts, as it is?

Me thinks the stock has done rather lousy based on what the stock have done the past 5 years. ( I do understand the past few days, the stock moved from 0.115 to 0.135 sen, and in terms of percentage, it is impressive. :D )

Why?

Has it anything to do with its earnings?

Quarterly rpt on consolidated results for the financial period ended 31/3/2010 - loss 3.597 million.

Quarterly rpt on consolidated results for the financial period ended 31/12/2009 - loss 3.837 million. Fiscal year loss 2009 1.186 million.

Quarterly rpt on consolidated results for the financial period ended 30/9/2009 - loss 2.043 million.

Quarterly rpt on consolidated results for the financial period ended 30/6/2009 - profot 2.343 million.

How? Most recent 4 quarter... only one quarter made money.

The previous fiscal year, 2008: Quarterly rpt on consolidated results for the financial period ended 31/12/2008 Fiscal year loss 2008 38.256 million.

The previous fiscal year, 2007: Quarterly rpt on consolidated results for the financial period ended 31/12/2007 Fiscal year made 24.300 million.

The previous fiscal year, 2006: Quarterly rpt on consolidated results for the financial period ended 31/12/2006 Fiscal year loss 2008 50.704 million.

How? Most recent 4 fiscal years... only one fiscal year made money.

So based on financial results... doesn't it explain why the stock performance has no oomph?

But then... sometimes... stocks are never valued based on the financial earnings alone.

Yup... sometimes... valuation of assets are used and then sometimes valuation is based on the valuation made by the culinary chef.

And that I am afraid... I dunno. :D
