And The Money Keeps Flowing Out From US Equities

Posted last Friday: The Markets And Fund Flows

This WAS the chart of the SPX then.

And what do you think the Americans are doing?

Are they putting more money into equities? Or are they taking money OUT from the equities?

Well... the answer....

  • Equity funds had estimated outflows of $3.27 billion for the week, compared to estimated outflows of $4.29 billion in the previous week. Domestic equity funds had estimated outflows of $3.16 billion, while estimated outflows from foreign equity funds were $113 million.

Americans pulled out some 4.23 billion from equities for the period ending 7th July!

Americans pulled out some 3.27 billion from equities for the period ending 14th July!

How?

Don't the Americans rate their equities markets so highly?
